Plenty of working class white people still vote Dem.

It's only the South that flipped afte the Civil Rights Act and the tie between the two (and the fruits of the "Southern Strategy) are undeniable.

Maybe a better question to ask is why almost ZERO minorities outside SoFla Cubans vote Republican?

That's another story. But as to this article I skimmed a bit more (now I want even more than my initial minute back) and got the sense the kid who wrote it thinks the entirety of the Democratic Party is people like Bill Maher or Susan Sarandon. Struck me as a very LA-centric view of a party that includes a lot of representation from labor, minority groups, working class people, public servants, etc few of whom are snarky and arrogant Hollywood progressive types.

I can't bring myself to read the whole thing -- I feel like I get dumber with each sentence -- but really just not good work. Apparently the kid is 26 and usually writes about entertainment.
