The bottom line is that Israel has 9 mil citizens, including Arabs, with

Full rights of citizenship. It has another 5 mil people living in Gaza and the WB over whom it exercises effective control. Restricting their freedom of movement, freedom of speech and assembly when it deems fit, and so forth.

Great you think that control is all about legit security concerns. I’d probably agree in at least some cases. But whatever the reason, those 5 mil people have no voice in Israeli govt and policy. They are under the thumb of a govt in which they have no vote or voice.

I see no way to avoid comparisons with apartheid. A population larger than 50% of Israeli citizenry under Israel’s control without any say. Genocide imo is objectively inflammatory bullshit. Apartheid has genuine legs. Even though I agree Palestinian leadership - Fatah and Hamas - both help perpetuate the situation. Israel, and especially the various Netanyahu govts, does as well.
