It should be more than not ignored. It should be called out as

Antisemitism. It’s antisemitism of the worst kind, certainly not isolated to uva. Because it’s based on the old canard of collective guilt. All Jews guilty of the actions of Israel in Gaza (which one might not think of as “guilt” if they had family in the zone of savagery on Oct 7).

Nothing personal to Chuck, but the first port of call in this thread should be calling that out. The next can be the notion of not hanging antisemitism around the necks of legit protestors.

If I wanted statues of confederates left alone in ‘17 and went to protest, I’m exiting stage left when the kkk and Nazis show up. If I’m protesting for divestment, I’m dialing 911 as I walk away if my fellow protestors start threatening or attacking fellow students disagreeing with us.
