watch the Longest Day movie at the nearest possible moment to departing. It's extremely accurate and will tie things together for you. My company is hot for a newer phenomenon that I don't know much about and haven't been to. It's the Maisy Battery. My dad thinks it's a tourist trap and insignificant. But the new tour leaders love going there. They aren't quite as militaristic as my old man, lol. He doesn't do quaint. But you can research it and decide for yourself if it's worth seeing.
