the topic. Generally speaking, no one is comfortable when viewing a failed presentation, especially the audience. I’ve been on both sides of that kind of situation.

I do however think there is an exception regarding sympathy, when that presentation is more of an attack, mostly misrepresenting the facts, than a traditional rebuttal. If you are bent on doing that you at minimum have to make the delivery persuasive and confident. If she was a novice speaker at a Rotary Club meeting I’d have some sympathy, but not for a cartoon version of an attack dog.
