It's not only ok, it's part of what makes us human in a world that is

becoming more dehumanizing by the day.

As a side note on Britt, I've spoken to a couple of people on different issues who have needed speak with her office recently. On both occasions, they say she made a point to want to be in the room saying she wanted to learn and engage -- something extremely rare for any Senator unless you are talking a very high profile issue/supporter (which these were not). Unfortunately, the pattern was also the same - genuine engagement, but then a follow up and position from staff which was the polar opposite from anything exuded by the Senator.

In the end, this is still her responsibility. Don't view your job as a never ending campaign or climb for more power ---- truly view it as an opportunity to serve and think and act as an independent human being. It seems almost completely unheard of in DC today and even more local politics. People seem just intoxicated with any hint of political power.
