I ask, because when I was being flown from VCU to Duke a few months before my transplant in '07, we had to wait a while for clearance to take off because the Queen was in town.

The extended version of that story is that we took off, headed to Durham, but had to turn around and come back soon after crossing he state line because the weather was so bad there. When we got back, the pilot, looking like he'd seen a ghost, shakily asked me if I "saw all that." I told him I had no idea what he meant and that all I could see from my gurney spot was the ground behind us. He said once he took off a 'secret service helicopter' popped out from behind a bank building and shadowed us until we were out of the airspace. Then, once we reentered the area, the same helicopter popped out from behind a CLOUD and shadowed us all the way back to VCU. Freaky stuff.

On a somewhat related note, I did see Bill Clinton once. I was at the President's Cup in Manassas in 2008 was headed to the clubhouse to pee and grab a bite to eat when I look over and see Vernon Jordan driving Billy in a golf cart. Without thinking, I waved and shouted, "Hey, Bill!" and they drove by and got a wave in return.
