should have led with "A sad AND ironic" reason rather than "sad BUT ironic" . Watching the news last evening required a lot of tequila.

No. I am not promoting violence. But if TFG actually goes to jail for any reason: I expect it. On January 6 the Trumpers, at his behest, physically assaulted the U.S. Capital and, literally, spread their feces on the walls.

Expecting any accedence on their behalf to the Constitution (or ~250 years of tradition and community in the United States, or even the laws of the State of Georgia) is past reason. And naive.

I grew up in Texas and, on and off, lived there for most of my life. And I watch a lot of CSPAN (generally speaking provides an unfiltered view of the "man in the street" conservative populace on their opinions/intentions). If anyone believes the right is not "locked and loaded" then he/she is not paying very close attention.

The indictments, IMHO, are warranted and necessary. But national polling right now shows Trump, if he is allowed to run in 2024, will likely win.

If he is sent to jail, well, then at least "We the people" have unfettered access to firearms (courtesy of the "right"). And ("sadly and ironically"): We are going to need them.

If they "Come after me" I'm not going to expect it is to promote rational dialogue and common ground.
