My nephew recent Ivy grad suggested lottery for non-recruited kids


Said they should extend recruiting process for athletes to top students to build 33% of class and then just lottery the rest.

I suggested they should limit non wait list accepts to 5 kids per HS. This would discourage kids from attending elite prep schools and force admissions to be extended to students everywhere.
