but the lack of decorum in this country has gotten a bit out of control, and why should any of us want future lawyers and policy-makers to engage that way (not that I think much of lawyers in the present :)).

I am so sick of the do anything / say anything mentality, our standards absolutely should be higher. We've become way too accepting of (a) liars and (b) assholes. And I get it, campuses have always been a little volatile when it comes to policy and justice, but these are grad students. Grow the hell up.

I will also acknowledge that the SCOTUS has painted itself into a corner and lost a ton of credibility of the last few quarters (and its members are above recourse), but heckling, shouting down, canceling isn't the answer.
