That cuts both ways
When we were early in our marriage, my wife and I were discussing the issue of abortion, etc. She has always been pro choice as an RN in obstetrics who has personally seen the complex cases that can occur, such as ectopic pregnancies or water that breaks at 5 months of pregnancy. Yet she said to me that she could never have an abortion herself if a pregnancy happened because of rape. Fortunately, that never happened, but I had a hard time thinking about having to raise a kid whose father was some awful criminal, perhaps with some major genetic issues.
