If that happens, we know that Putin has lost all touch with reality.

Who can say for sure what his mental state is? Right now, I think it’s unlikely that Putin would seek direct confrontation with NATO. But he is a wildcard.

For now my greater concern is some sort of mishap or accident triggering a direct confrontation.
