I don't want to push too hard here, but I'm not sure what you disagree
with. You think it just doesn't matter if the president fails to draw a clear distinction between racism and opposition to racism between two sides in such a tragedy? There really is no debating the increase in white supremacist violence since Trump came to power, and there is no debating that one of the leaders of American white supremacy outwardly supports the president in ways he has no other president, including after his Cville comments. He constantly confirms the empowerment he draws from the current admin.
I have strong, strong feelings on this topic. So disclaimer - even though I am not understanding your point, there is no implicit accusation of racism or bigotry or anything like that. I've been in these discussions where eventually my opponent gives me a little ditty on his non-racist street-cred, which always makes me feel bad - I'm not suggesting racism in the disagreement. Just want to be clear about that, as this can be a very sensitive topic to discuss. [Post edited by hoolstoptheheels at 05/17/2019 10:54AM]
