Wish we had the technology for wind and solar to be

economic during peak loads. I know Hawaii has had some issues with rolling blackouts due to heavy reliance on renewables, such as when a combustion plant goes down at evening peak, there could be some issues with getting power to the grid. There are some creative ways for storing energy generated by solar, but I don't think many have proven to be a feasible widespread application nor do I believe the battery tech is there yet either. Until then, we'll have to rely pretty heavily on cheap and quick access to natural gas.
