I guess I would just say

that on the negotiator-corruption thing, you are right in that it was TK who really just put that out there but it sounded like you thought it was a good point. I am a little sensitive to this just from a personal standpoint so didn't really want to leave that hanging and don't even know what it is supposed to mean. Fair enough if I misunderstood your comment and it is really more something from TK.

On the what we know and don't know front, will just agree to disagree -- although I definitely don't disagree with many concerns you obviously share in China including how much is a house of cards, especially in certain areas, and some of the very messy roadmaps that could develop in the future. I just think that overall -- it is not a complete black hole of information. Am I investing in companies over there based on the strength of their financial disclosures for example or overall health of their system -- no. However, at a grass roots level - I have been to so many remote areas of China and can't really think of one example where I haven't been able to see quite a bit with my own eyes and ears or not been able to dig into almost any area I can remember with pretty easy access. I know others in different sectors can attest to the same exact experience. There is so much more access and engagement today than there was even 10 or 15 years ago. It doesn't excuse the past and it certainly doesn't make the present some neat little picture of perfect truth and transparency. I also think the government would still like to control more things over there to keep change from happening so quickly, but there is only so much that even they can do sometimes based on sheer size and scope. However, meaningful engagement in areas like global quality control standards and social responsibility has been real with changes always happening and almost always moving in the right direction. I am disagreeing with your assertion (assuming I am hearing you correctly) that on a scale of 1-100, you would put this at about a 1 in terms of any kind of meaning to what we really see happening over there. It may not then be easy to post things on social media while in China for example, but there are global eyes moving in and out all over the country over time and this will continue to make a real difference.
