Faz's post was like many other posts here and

anonymous chat board posts in general --- a 1-2 sentence drive by on some relatively complicated subject, person, etc So you're right, depending on what you glean from posts like this they can be worth comment and criticism and are always too "simplistic", but I thought your attempt at history and more specifically a deeper Roger Water defense, followed by name-calling criticism of anybody who could disagree, seemed more alarming. It seemed analogous to somebody posting some one-sentence anti-Trupp/HRC/Cruz comment followed by a substantive attempt at defense of that person and then being offended that somebody would dare focus and disagree with the substance of your defense.

You seemed to take more from Faz's post that I would. I don't much care for twitter-like posts on any subject because they do almost nothing positive so I am not condoning it. However, if you ask me for a gut reaction - it is anger/frustration at a bombing like that and in particular a criticism of Waters who has money and a megaphone and chooses to put his passion behind the boycott-Israel movement and seems essentially exclusively anti-Israel with any passing comment or action. You seemed to interpret it as "all Palestinians are just terrorists" and I have to assume from your post (and from posts on the subject in the past) that you also ideologically support the BDS movement as this is what Waters champions. I strongly disagree with that effort and frankly, find it somewhat appalling when looking at the range of ways to voice an opinion and causes to support, especially in the Middle East. This combined with Waters' history of other comments on the subject put him way on the wrong side of this debate IMO and very misguided on the issue. The fact that he says it is all in the name of peace, love and understanding and feeling of some connection to this issue from his parents doesn't suddenly make him, his comments or this movement in particular more justified. You are obviously free to disagree.
