But I do know you are a Bernie supporter and I believe that Bernie's policies, assuming could get them enacted, would be disastrous for the US. I also know that Bernie (in his own words) would like us to be more like Denmark and has in many respects modeled his taxation and social welfare policies after the scandanavian countries. What I think he fails to realize is the very important differences between the US and denmark or norway that would cause policies that may work there to be disastrous if implemented here. And then you seemed to further argue that because we're the US and can accomplish anything we put our minds to, we could even accomplish remaking ourselves to be like Denmark if we put our minds to it (whether you want that or not was sort of beside the point, that seemed to be what you were arguing).

So I guess my beef is more with Bernie's desire to remake the US to be more like denmark than with your views specifically. But you are a Bernie supporter and you started this whole subthread with a reference to Bernie's comment about Denmark which started us down this rathole.
