Yeah. I rejected the line I was fed that the GOP field was


so deep.

All of those candidates had deep, deep flaws that for the most part were easily exposed upon a moderately deep look.

Rubio probably had a bright future, but he wasn't nearly ready--to the degree that it is hard to imagine his ever mounting a comeback. It's a lot like the hopes for Jindal that lasted 6-8 years. Just not national material even though he can spout all the right rhetoric. It's been a long time now since anyone has pushed Jindal.

The primary reason for so many candidates is that the GOP opportunity was somewhat a vacuum (Alex, that means the candidates are all vacuous.) Multitudes of people should not be confused with depth.
