you dopey lefties, I used to scoff at the idea that the increasing wealth gap could lead to social and political instability and upheaval. My take was people who own their home, live in relative comfort with AC, indoor plumbing, 2 cars, vacation time and are more likely to be overweight from too much food than to be hungry, etc, etc, don't start revolutions, no matter how much better off the rich are compared to them.

I didn't account for someone like Trump convincing these morons that immigrants are to blame for all their problems, that liberals are their enemy and are a threat to this country, and only TRUMP can save them. I think 30% of this country would be perfectly fine with a violent overthrow of our government as long as Trump or someone like him was placed in charge. It's fucking nuts.
