Immigration is being cited as a major reason the job market has remained

So hot without a spike in inflation back up towards its peak a couple of years ago (although it has moved back up towards the mid-3s this year). It was not thought possible that hiring could remain this hot with rates so high.

We’d be much likelier to be in a wage-price spiral upward right now if not for the wave of immigration over the past year+, many apolitical econ pundits hypothesize on networks like Bloomberg these days.
