Never in the history of the court have they made up bullshit like "traditional restrictions", and then even ignored that to override restrictions that did have historical precedence.

The idea that we can't have restrictions on assault weapons because the continental congress didn't outlaw them is beyond absurd. There were no restrictions on machine gun purchases then either, or bazookas, or field artillery, or nuclear weapons. Guess those restrictions will get overturned buy this utterly insane court.

What would I do? In no particular order:
Ban detachable magazines. 10 rounds in any weapon. When you're out you reload the old fashioned way.
Going forward all guns must include smart technology so only the purchaser can fire it
Title weapons like cars. If you have a gun without a title you go to jail.
If you fail to report the sale of disappearance of your gun you go to jail.
If you lose control of your gun and somebody else harms somebody with it you go to jail. I don't care if it was in a safe and the key was in your nightstand. If your child found it and used it then it was not secure, by definition.
Real, true, background checks for any purchase, including yard sales, craigslist, gunshows, flea markets, etc. You can't take delivery of the gun until you pass a background check
Outlaw open carry. I'm fine outlawing concealed carry too but open carry is nothing but trolling.
Ban bump stocks. I mean WTF
