Dont think Goochland is trying to attack mail in voting per se
Hes just saying that, as an individual voter, if you want to be 100% certain your vote will be counted, you should look at other options besides mail in ballots. Because while postal delays or lost mail may be rare, theres still a >0% chance your ballot may be lost or delayed and hence, your vote not counted.
I happen to agree with Goochland on this, my personal preference is to vote in person on election day, its kind of a patriotic ritual for me. But my perspective has been colored by the fact that wherever I've lived in Virginia, I've never had any issues or extended wait times or long lines when I've gone to vote.
