That’s all fine and well, but you have to accept that it isn’t about


Winning you over. Me either - I’m disgusted by this current band of congressional repubs. We’re won over.

Dems have screwed the pooch at the border during Biden’s term. Their realization of that is part of the leverage making this deal possible. They’re agreeing to things that are pissing off their left flank, and which Biden never would have agreed to 2 yrs ago.

So, who spins this better to the voters who can be convinced? One small indicator, as I say, will be this special election next week with immigration so top of mind. Reflections of chaos in nyc, and this highly publicized obstruction to any progress by Trumpistan.

Dems have to put in the hard work of spinning this right over the course of the year, and it won’t be easy. They’re playing from behind.
