Nope - protectionism is one reason things are not as nice as they could be.


If there’s someone else who can do my current job just as well for less pay, or someone else who can do your job better for the same pay - then we are being paid too much. It doesn’t matter where that person was born. If people moving here from other places can do jobs just as well for a lower wage then the people currently doing those jobs are being overcompensated vs what the market rate is for their work.


If you were talking about private aid, benefits, and healthcare, and what a private entity organization does, and who they provide aid, benefits, or healthcare to should not be restricted by the government based on where that person was born or lives.

If by your reference to aid, benefits and healthcare, you are implying aid, benefits, and healthcare that are provided by government entities - I would agree those can be problematic. But the problem results from those programs in the first place, not where the person who might or might not obtain them was born.
