neither one would be a "tragedy" in the "gone too soon" sense. But absent BOTH of them dying -- or Biden dying and Trump being conclusively convicted in a way that sways moderate voters, I still feel like the bench is too weak for either side to pull off a W. Who would the Dems call on if Biden croaks that beats Trump? Who would the GOP get from the Party of Trump that could consolidate support and take out Biden on a few months notice?
