States that already have mail-in could pilot it at some locales. But it


will likely be years before such a thing would be adopted. A lot of older people have to die first. ;)

But it doesn't really get to the heart of the problem. People need to be engaged in the process, not just voting, to get the government they want. The more of them live in their virtual bubbles, the harder it will be to engage. It goes to the heart of the technological challenges to democratic institutions.
