1) We had a contagious virus circulating
2) The original strain, which had burnt out by around April 2020, was the most severe, with subsequent mutations far less severe
3) In virtually everyone who contracted it, the COVID virus manifested in symptoms -- assuming there were any at all -- similar to a typical cold or flu
4) Virtually no one under the age of about 60 was ever statistically in remotely meaningful danger of dying from COVID
5) Children (those under 18) were effectively at zero risk of dying from COVID throughout the period
6) Regardless of age, the chance of dying from COVID without any co-morbidities was effectively zero.
7) No measures we took should have been expected to or did result in any meaningful mitigation of the spread of the virus or lessen its severity, which, given the utter lack of danger absent ANY measures, makes perfect sense, as reducing risk from nearly zero to slightly closer to zero is immeasurable, but meaningless in any case
8) Hospitals were never overburdened in any chronic or broad-based fashion. In fact, they suffered from vacancy problems during COVID, not overcrowding.
9) "Excess deaths" are conceptual, not factual, and based on models.
10) Some non-trivial number of the alleged "excess deaths" were caused by the COVID policy itself rather than the virus.

We shouldn't have a problem agreeing on these basic facts, but feel free to provide evidence disputing them, if you don't agree. Assuming we agree, then you have the floor on policy.
