Completely disagree. Recruiting is now national and data-based and players


go to schools where they can get paid the most and be on prime time TV. Plus they can freely transfer.

20 years ago recruiting was mostly local and relationship-based for most programs (even for your Bamas, OSUs and UGAs) and a lot of the skill was in finding talent and developing them. Heck, Miami became a national power by simply dominating South Florida recruiting. And kids often chose schools based on proximity to home since games weren’t as widely televised.

Now the top schools are getting kids from all over who have been evaluated and groomed to be pro athletes since they were 12.

And it’s a great big disgusting orgy of money. I dont think it was like this even a short time ago, tbh.
