The ludicrous. By all accounts any agreements that Biden reached with China
were very modest. In fact, one of the reasons that Xi came here is that right now China needs the US more than we need them. Their economy is slowing down through unwise decisions they have made and as a hangover from the COVID lockdowns. They need more US investment. Biden was able to get at least a framework for keeping China out of Taiwan in the near term. The meeting didn't hit the ball out of the park. It was just a step to ease tensions a little bit.
So, of course, Fox gives us a story with "experts" from Power the Future (an anti-green energy lobbying group), a guy from the Competitive Enterprise Institute that says the US is being nudged into a Beijing-style central planning government, and some other organization worried about "ESG extremism," and yet another referring to the "America-hurting climate hoax." Now, there are some stats in the article that are useful. But these "experts" are just throwing around buzzwords over a frame work that has very little specificity.
Gee, I wonder what axes they have to grind?
