My dad had the early stages of dementia a few years back

and would sit around and watch Fox News all day and get worked up about the dumbest shit. I remember he was beside himself after finding out that people in the military are no longer allowed to pray… at least according to a Fox News story he watched. It was just one bullshit grievance after the next and he was constantly angry. We had an intervention of sorts and got him off of foxnews and onto the tennis channel, reruns of the Tour de France, basically any sporting event that was on during the day (with dementia, it doesn’t matter if it’s a rerun). The change in his anger and anxiety level was night and day.
