that threat is not only disingenuous, making the argument is destructive. (And for the record of course I did not support the brinksmanship).

A couple of months ago, I was out with the analyst who headed this downgrade. Their company view is that the reason they have not downgraded previously - because on metrics alone this downgrade is completely merited and very late in arriving - is because they feel the US has the means to signifcianty improve its metrics. But Fitch clearly got tired of waiting.

But turning this into abother fucking useless political pissing contest is really disgraceful and why this board is soul destroying. Why do you guys spend so much time here i have no fucking idea.
