About the curriculum change. This dude didn’t even address the complaints. He made a baseless claim that nobody but Harris cares about this. That is objectively false. Then he set up the straw man of claiming complaints are about FL directives to literally say slavery in the US was good. Nobody anywhere claims Florida is saying the words “slavery in America was good”.

The claim is that FL is highlighting job skills slaves may have picked up while slaves, which this guy didn’t even mention. The many, many people who complain about it, including educators, claim the only purpose is to revive the “Gone with the Wind” lost cause mythology of benevolent slavery. Which is utter horseshit - whatever a slave learned or didn’t learn as a slave, he had no say in any of it. No amount of skills training mitigates that. The fact that slave masters had to teach slaves how to do the shit THEY WERE FORCED TO DO LIKE LIVESTOCK is obvious on its face. The need to teach that obvious fact as part of lessons on slavery is only to try to soften the original sin of slavery in this country. There is no other possible purpose.

As an aside, it is such a joke that you all complain so heartily about CNN. When you don’t even link directly to CNN. You link a FOX snippet, which is pure propaganda. FOX’s audience would switch allegiance to Newsmax if it dared air an opinion criticizing DeSantis on this move, but it’s cnn that’s so horribly slanted and biased.
