There has been major empowerment taking place regardless of party in recent years for organized labor -- which doesn't necessarily mean its all about union growth, but organized labor with a much stronger voice in areas such as top trade leadership and philosophical approach --- which is translating into a continued shift in many areas of trade viewed by many as the best way to "protect" the U.S. worker. And it isnt all about China. We continue to have serious labor issues in this country which imo are now a much larger factor in inflation and other areas (we are well past most COVID issues) -- all with roots in protectionism that is a part of populist philosophy.
