Oh that absolutely benefits the Dems. The most active and engaged single

issue voters I've ever met are pro-choice voters that would never ever vote for GOPers for that reason alone.

But they're not going to vote for GOPers anyway, and haven't been. So I think with reasonable modifications (assuming Roe gets overturned) like 10 or 12 weeks instead of 6, getting rid of the vigilante aspect, and tightening restrictions after that (rather than the Dems pushing bills the opposite direction in NY and trying in VA for example), they're not going to alienate nearly as many. Hard blue states will still have less restrictions, and other states will at least have reasonable ones in the majority of peoples' opinions.

Shoot, as TX and ID are going, they would likely alienate me as a voter (I already hated GOP state level back door efforts to de facto make abortion illegal by making it practically not viable w/clinic and provider restrictions for example). If not for the Dems being so completely F'd on everything else.
