Technically it's not even a law yet since the Gov hasn't signed it yet to

my understanding. And not surprisingly, it's not exactly as HooAskedYou describes:

"Like the law in Texas, the Idaho bill enforces the ban by allowing private individuals to bring suit in state court against people who allegedly perform such illegal abortions. The bill includes exceptions for rape, incest and medical emergencies."

And if I'm following correctly, it, or similar, would have to survive that judicial review you ask about in order to even go in affect:

"Little, however, signed a similar so-called “fetal heartbeat” measure into law last year. It includes a trigger provision that would only allow it to take effect if a federal appeals court upheld a similar law in another state. That hasn’t happened."

Regardless, like I said with the TX law, I think the GOP will only regret overreaching as much as they are on these abortion laws. I think they would be fine if they stuck to trying to make abortions a little more restrictive than Roe calls for, but 6 weeks, and these vigilante aspects (I realize they only did that for legal and judicial review reasons) are just way over-the-top IMO, it's going to piss off a lot of voters (even if they get the true version rather than the disingenuous lefty depiction), and those voters definitely get out and vote.
