Yes. It's also a human parasite drug.
The horse dewormer line is a nice gag to mock the other side, which both sides do far too often (see also: "leftist insane clownworld" and "xis toxic masculinity"). Much like hydroxychloroquine (an anti-malarial drug that treats a parasite-based disease) though, there's absolutely zero reason to think that an anti-parasitic drug will help treat a respiratory viral infection. And sure enough, the original study has been torn apart in subsequent tests and was likely fraudulent to begin with (see link).
We've literally been through this game once already. Everyone wants there to be a miracle cure that mainstream doctors haven't thought of. There isn't. We have vaccines and we have monoclonal antibodies. We know they are both pretty effective but not perfect. We also have a solid scientific understanding on why we would expect them to work on this specific viral respiratory infection. [Post edited by CMUHoo at 09/06/2021 12:30PM]
