Fine by me. That said, Trump also said he'd release his tax returns.
In fact, he's turned on his back on the law which gives Congress the power to subpoena tax returns of any American citizens regardless of position ... which passed after the Teapot Scandal a hundred years ago.
If you're going to charge a person for the leaks (which is fair), you better also hold the President accountable for defying a law as well. You can't have it both ways.
