My primary difference of perspective would be that the growing economic disparity to which you yourself allude is a far greater threat to downtrodden minorities than any institutional or even widespread individual "hatred" or bigotry. That stuff is out there, sure, at least on the individual level, and always will be, but, imo, you can have far far far more impact on improving the lot of minorities by finding ways to raise them up out of poverty than you can by getting in the average American's face and screaming at them about "white privilege" and implicit bias.
