I've seen plenty of the unedited video pop up on my Twitter feed, including several versions slowed down, so I'm very familiar with it, as I am familiar with the excellent New York times piece from yesterday which, surprisingly, completely and without much editorializing ran down the facts. So, this morning, when I wanted to pull it up quickly, I just googled it. Cnn, NBC, CBS, the guardian,... I could go on I don't know how many versions I went through before I gave up... all have it edited in various ways to exclude the footage immediately before the shooting that show the shooter/defendant being threatened by the two guys he shot. Particularly egregious is the exclusion of the frames and angles that show the guy coming at him with the pistol. Eventually just had to go back to my Twitter feed and swipe down through a couple hundred tweets to find it. Zero hedge has it in its entirety, as does NYT if you really dig deep for it.

It's just... I can't even.

Whatever you think of BLM and the protests and the riots (and yes, there are riots), a man, actually a minor, has been accused of an extremely serious crime. In fact the most serious crime one can be accused of. For the press to so uniformly and egregiously suppress a full, fair, and accurate representation of the facts is repulsive.

Yet another blast from the media that almost makes me, despite the fact that I despise the man, want to vote for Trump. Almost.
