I appreciate your problem solving approach to this. If folks approached..
.. these issues on a more micro level, focusing on cooperation instead of defensive narrative, we might actually be able to overcome some of the divisiveness.
To your specific point, I am not really interested in either of the major party candidates being foisted on us, yet again, this cycle. I think they're both, to one degree or another, part of the faux binary, sociopathic, intentionally division-inspiring dynamic that eventually, probably in the not too distant future, is going to lead this country down the road to totalitarianism. In that regard, as I said, I think the solution lies in each of us, and then to the community level and on up from the bottom up.
My point in making this specific post was to highlight the injustice I see, as an attorney, being visited on this person by the media ... Which I believe has a sacred trust to do exactly the opposite. Here you have alteration or obfuscation of crystal clear facts/video, and I find that deeply offensive to my sense of liberty.
FWIW I also find the Blake shooting to be deeply troubling, as I would assume or at least hope that most Americans would. The facts in that one, particularly in terms of what can be seen on video (and which in that case as far as I can tell has not been altered by media) are somewhat more muddied.
I appreciate your post, but reading down the thread below, I'm quickly recollecting why I don't come here typically
