I'm sure there are a lot of things that have contributed, but the rate


of black children raised in single parent homes has increased quite a bit since 1968. The scale on this chart is terrible, but it looks like roughly a 50% increase in the rate from 40% of black children in 1970 to 60% of black children today. Also of note, the ~60% rate for black children is roughly double that of hispanic children and nearly 2.5x that of white children.
