Geez, you can't even be honest about easily verifiable facts.
Trying to keep numbers simple for your simple mind.
Obama was elected when the Dow was at 9326. At this point in his first term it was in the 13200 range. That would be roughly a 3900 increase. When Trump was elected, it was sitting around 18150, that would be roughly an 8800 increase over his 8 yrs. (an A for your disingenuous effort of trying to give him credit for the increase after the market knew Trump would be in charge however)
Trump was elected at roughly that 18150 mark mentioned. At its peak, the Dow hit 26950, and we weren't far off that late last month, which would be roughly 8800 up in his first 2 1/2 yrs (as opposed to Obama's 8 yrs). Currently 25548, so roughly 7400 up from when he was elected (as opposed to Obama's 3900 for the same period).
But you're right, it wasn't 10,000. Or 5700. Or 12,000. But hoos counting.
