I do not think she is defending that decision, and I wouldn't either

Essentially, it is an asked and answered question.

Was it wrong? Yes.
Does she admit it was wrong? Yes.
Did it result in any harm? Apparently not after a very extensive and intensive FBI investigation, especially compared to what happened on the government email servers.
Did it merit prosecution? Not according to Republican FBI Director Comey.

You seem to want to determine her motivation in this matter as a malicious one. She has provided her motivations (convenience of a single account and the desire to keep her personal and political affairs off of government servers where you can bet her political enemies would have examined them). I find her reasons to be believable (and in fact re-proven by her enemies every day) while still disagreeing with her judgment.

It was careless, the FBI said so, she admits to it, and yet that is not enough for those who seek some sort of criminal intent or want there to be evidence of grave harm to national security in her actions.

Compared to the list of Trump's misdeeds, bald lies and demagoguery, this episode would not even make his Top Twenty.
