After two straight years of no increases, we got hit with 12% this year by

NCBC. It was OK, I had budgeted twelve. Just a lucky guess.

We took the deductibles up -- we have two. The first we subsidize with contributions to the employee's HSA. The second we self insure up to that level. The employees will take a small hit in their contributions, but since raises have only been three percent for three years, we felt we needed to compensate the work force.

I still don't like that we have NCBC, a broker that negotiates with them, then two different companies to handle the two deductibles. That is four middle men.

Got to be some substantial savings for all involved when we finally go to single payers.
