Erosion of 2A rights?

Your "worst case" scenario (my best) would be that the SCOTUS dials back the abomination that is Heller and opens the door to more reasonable restrictions. No one is going to ban guns - wouldn't happen even if the 2A were repealed outright (which it should be, IMHO, but won't -- at least not in our lifetime).

It's similar to what conservatives have done with abortion. Place some parameters around a "right" that probably shouldn't be a "right" at all but removing it altogether is virtually impossible.

Can you honestly sit here and tell me you think it would be a bad thing if it got more difficult for crazy or violent people to get their hands on guns, or if we limited the availability of weapons that were designed to inflict mass casualties? I certainly hope not. You don't strike me as an idiot.
