Not everyone views things from the team jersey perspective you want to
accuse them as using for determining factors Hools.
I actually have agreed with, and appreciated many of your posts on this topic. Not because you're "sparring with the lefties", but because I've found them to be quite fair and reasoned despite it being understandable for some to take a more passion driven approach on this issue. Kudos to Charleston BTW, for taking a similar approach.
I also agree with my left leaning daughter, that happens to be at Columbia Law right now, that Columbia overstepped the other day when removing peaceful protesters in their entirety. Certainly anyone calling for, or threatening violence on Jewish people as a whole, or anyone for that matter, should be removed and forced to suffer the consequences for their actions. And there's no defending behavior that makes the Jewish students there have to live in fear. But otherwise, peaceful protestors should be allowed to express their views, no matter how much I might disagree with those views. And yes, that would have to include neo-Nazis as long as they are not threatening violence too.
I also agree with NYHoo, that while I don't dismiss their passion for the topic, many of these protesters don't apply the same logic, open mindedness, and fairness to the topic that you've mostly shown, and have simply latched on to the latest "outrage" to protest over. And yes, are greatly motivated by a desire to tell others how they "fought the power", regardless of whether the fight was right or wrong. (there's a reason so many of them "protest" with their phones up in the air) And once this one fizzles out, just as with statues, BLM, the "don't say Gay" bill, etc., they will move on and "fight the power" on the next "outrage". No matter how right or wrong they were on the last one. Not learning from their past behavior. And be sure to tell everyone they did.
So no, I couldn't care less which "team" you're sparring with. That doesn't make you right or wrong, or your opinion any better or worse. Those judgements are made based on one's words and actions.
