Basically how I see it. I doubt many are truly pro Hamas, but who knows
It isn't a great look after Oct. 7, but university campuses have been flashpoints in this country for over 50 years. Clearly these institutions need to walk a fine line here, and it sounds like some of the rhetoric (unsurprisingly) has become inflammatory. Can't just let people do whatever they want, as some point the FAFO principle kicks in (wish it would in other parts of our society too). But one can also understand some people feeling that the response at this point being disproportionate and / or unhumanitarian. War is a terrible thing, luckily most younger people in this country have never had to experience it.
These stories probably aren't worth the attention they seem to be getting. I'm much more worried about the other extremists that are influencing policy right now. A lot more potential for damage there. [Post edited by Capital City Hoo at 04/23/2024 09:11AM]
