civilization. We haven't seen anything like this in Europe in 80 years, let's hope the rest of the world does the right thing (starting with us). Nobody with a brain would want to be remembered for allowing that to happen. It is time for the "normies" to start punching back against extremism - even if that makes for some uneasy alliances within and across parties. They owe that to the American people.

Speaking of people doing the right things, I read yesterday that the IMF expects Russia's economy to grow faster than just about other advanced nation's over the next year or so. There are people out there clearly happy to buy its resources. Clearly the sanctions haven't had the desired effect overall, but I wonder how life has changed, if at all, for ordinary folks in that country since this round of aggression began, in earnest, 2 years ago now.
