Following the party line had some relevance not too long ago.

That was when both parties respected the rule of law, the Constitution, the peaceful transfer of political power. The message could not be any clearer now though. The America that MAGA envisions is more valuable to them than the America that existed before Donald Trump got into politics. Sununu expresses this very well and that is why I found it to be remarkable.
