Biden had much to do with causing inflation. In Powell’s words, it really wasn’t driven mostly by the demand side. Aid passed by Trump (which did far exceed Biden’s 1 Covid giveaway, although his was very ill advised imo) and Biden did not cause global inflation to spike, which was far worse on whole than it was in the US.

We had 4 decades of no to immaterial inflation. It virtually brought the Japanese economy down - they’ve gotten a huge boost from pandemic inflation. Plus the reworking of supply chains away from China, global conflicts and Panama Canal problems - all this is way beyond the purview of the presidency, but it’s on Biden’s watch, and that’s a headwind.
